Actor John Abraham recently addressed the tragic Kolkata doctor case, making it clear that his focus isn’t on advising women but rather on holding boys accountable. In a recent interview, John shared his thoughts on the incident, emphasizing that the responsibility lies with how boys are raised. He also discussed his latest film, Vedaa, which tackles the issue of violence against women.
During an appearance on Radio City, John was asked if he had any message for the country’s youth following the alleged rape and murder of a Kolkata doctor earlier in August, just before the Raksha Bandhan festival. John responded with a stern warning: “I’ll tell the boys to behave, otherwise I’ll tear them apart.” Although he initially laughed, his tone quickly turned serious.
John went on to say, “Honestly, I just expect better upbringing, on a serious note. I wouldn’t tell girls anything because it’s not their fault. The responsibility falls on parents to teach their sons how to behave. More power to the girls.”
Through his remarks, John highlighted the need for societal change, urging parents to instill better values in their sons while expressing unwavering support for women.
