Two people connected to the Canadian Arsh Dalla-Sukha Duneke gang were taken into custody earlier on October 7 by the Delhi Police Special Cell.
The British Kabaddi team captain, Sandeep Nangal Ambian, was killed in March of the previous year, and one of the people detained was connected to that murder.
27-year-old Arshdeep Singh hails from Dalla village in the Moga region of Punjab. He is associated with extreme groups including the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) and the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). Notoriety for partaking in many forms of organized crime, Arshdeep is also connected to the notorious Canadian criminal Goldy Brar.
With his spouse and their little daughter, Arshdeep has established his residence in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. His passport was issued on September 1, 2017, by the Regional Passport Office in Jalandhar, and it is valid until August 31, 2027.
In 2020, Dala became a prominent person, mostly engaged in operations of supporting terrorism, creating terror cells, helping to smuggle weapons from across the border, and planning killings in Punjab.
According to documents from intelligence services, Dala has a greater track record of planning violent crimes than the late Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) commander Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
Working with Nijjar, Dala was instrumental in assembling a three-person KTF module. The owner of Sunshine Clothes Store in Moga, Tejinder, commonly known as Pinka, was killed in 2021, and this group was linked to her death.
