Bhavya Gandhi Admits He Still Watches TMKOC’s Old Episodes, ‘It Seemed More Hilarious’

Bhavya Gandhi, who formerly portrayed the character of Tappu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), recently shared that he still enjoys watching old episodes of the show. In an interview, Bhavya described the old episodes as ‘hilarious’, partly because he was part of the series. However, he did not comment on the current episodes of TMKOC.

During an interaction with Pinkvilla, Bhavya Gandhi said, “I do watch it. In fact, a few days back, I was on bed rest for about one and a half months due to an injury. During that particular period, I spent half of my time watching the old episodes of the show. It seemed more hilarious to me because I was also aware of the back story. So, whenever I watched any episode, I would recall how the scene was shot and the environment on the set at that particular moment.”

Bhavya Gandhi left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2017 and was replaced by Raj Anadkat, who also later exited the show. Currently, Nitish Bhaluni plays the role of Tappu, the son of Jethalal, in the popular sitcom.

Meanwhile, Bhavya is set to make his television comeback. He will soon be seen as Prabhaas, a psychotic antagonist, in the show Pushpa Impossible. Speaking about his return, he told IANS, “Stepping into the role of Prabhaas is a delightful experience for me as I am playing a negative character for the first time and this role is very different from playing the innocent Tappu from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.”

He further said, “Prabhaas is unpredictable and deeply troubled, with a calm exterior that masks intense inner turmoil, making him dangerously fascinating. Returning to television with such a complex character on home channel Sony SAB is incredibly exciting for me.”

Are you excited for his comeback?
