M M Keeravani is a very talented musician, and when he won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for RRR’s “Naatu Naatu,” he made music history.
Subhash K. Jha found the music composer in Beverly Hills right after he won and congratulated him. The composer said, “Thank you, Subhash “Thank you, sir (with a heart emoji). Still, I am at the Golden Globes. It’s a very cool feeling. I will call you from my hotel tonight.”
Most of Rajamouli’s movies have music by Keeravani, who is his cousin. He has also had a very successful career in Hindi cinema, with songs like “Tum Mile Dil Khile” from “Criminal,” “Gali Mein Aaj Chand Nikla” from “Zakham,” “Aa Bhi Jaa” from “Sur,” and “Jadoo Hai Nasha Hai” from “Sur” (Jism).
Keeravani has always avoided the spotlight because he is a purist at heart. He has never let himself become a well-known person.
In an earlier conversation, M M Kreem, who is known as Keeravani Sir, said, “My music is my life. I can never be dishonest with my compositions. Melody is indeed the foundation of my compositions.”
