Popular comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui was rushed to the hospital after being ill. On May 24, he was admitted, and his close buddy notified his followers on social media. A friend of Munawar posted a photo of the comedian on social media, showing him curled up on a hospital bed with an IV drip in his hand. “I’m sending my brother @munawar my best wishes for strength.””Faruqui, get well soon,” wrote Munawar’s pal as the photo’s caption.
Munawar and 13 other people were arrested in Mumbai earlier in March after a raid on a hookah parlour. Despite the fact that there was no need for bail, the police gave Faruqui notice and allowed him to leave.
When Munawar gained popularity
In 2021, Munawar made headlines when he was charged with offending Hindu sentiment at a stand-up performance. He was charged and imprisoned for one month when it was alleged that he had made fun of Lord Ram. Subsequently, several states cancelled his appearances as well.
He took part in Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp the next year and won the reality project. He debuted as one of the Bigg Boss 17 housemates last year. He recently won the show after being in the BB House for more than 100 days. After winning the competition, he was greeted warmly at Dongri, Mumbai. Along with the trophy, he also received a Hyundai Creta and a Rs 50 lakh cash reward.
