Blockbuster Alert: ‘Bade Miyan…’ Sets Box Office Ablaze with Rs 2 Crore in Advance Bookings, Leaves ‘Maidaan’ Behind

The action-thriller “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, is anticipated to have a strong opening weekend at the movie office. Preliminary projections indicate that the movie has already sold more than 43,000 tickets for its April 11 premiere. ‘Maidaan’, starring Ajay Devgn, which opens on the same day, isn’t keeping up, selling only about 16,000 seats on its opening day.

‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ sold 43,867 tickets, earning Rs 2.53 crore (including block seats) at the time this piece was written, according to an industry tracker. Industry insiders predict that Ali Abbas Zafar’s picture will be among this year’s top earners at the box office. On its first day of release, Taran Adarsh projected that the movie will bring in about Rs 25 crore.

“Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” will be released in 3D and IMAX in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Sonakshi Sinha and Alaya F play important supporting roles as well.

On the other hand, the sports biography “Maidaan,” which stars Ayushmann Singh in the title character, has only sold 17,113 tickets for the first day of sales and has made Rs 1.25 crore (including block seats). According to a Pinkvilla report, the movie is expected to make about Rs 7 crore on its first day of release, which also includes the revenue from paid previews on April 10.

Despite ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s’ lead, the movie is still gaining positive reviews from reviewers. IndiaToday.in rated the movie four stars.

In the film, which was directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Avgn plays football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. It concentrates on the 1952–1962, golden age of Indian football. “The true story of an unknown hero who created history and records for India such that even 60 years later, we are not able to match upto those accomplishments in the most played sport in the world, football,” is how the official description of the movie puts it.

‘Maidaan’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ have no competition for the remainder of the month because no significant Bollywood film is slated for release in April. It remains to be seen how well they do at the box office now.
