At a Prime Day 2025 event in New Delhi on Monday, Boat announced a collaboration with Safari Industries, a manufacturer of luggage and travel accessories. The Indian innovative wearable company will introduce new smart baggage as part of the “Safari x Boat” partnership at the forthcoming Amazon Prime Day event, which will take place in the nation from July 12 to 14. Safari already has a few innovative baggage products in its inventory that Boat Tag powers, though specifics are still being kept under wraps.
The launch of Safari x Boat Smart Luggage on Prime Day
The e-commerce behemoth revealed the impending introduction of Safari smart baggage in partnership with Aman Gupta’s Boat during the Amazon Prime Day 2025 event. We may anticipate that the smart luggage will utilise Boat’s Bluetooth tracker to enable location monitoring services; however, specifics have not yet been disclosed.
By utilising Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), it can enable consumers to track their smart luggage if it is misplaced at the airport or even stolen. The Boat Tag is powered by this technology, which also allows the tracking of lost objects, such as wallets, keys, and bags.
Given that it is anticipated to employ the same technology as the Boat Tag, the Safari smart baggage may provide users with real-time location updates via the Google Find My Hub app. Additionally, it is compatible with Google’s network, enabling features such as Fast Pair support and unknown tracker alerts. However, as this is entirely conjectural, it should be interpreted cautiously.
The Safari Trackr GPS-enabled trolley Bag is one of the innovative baggage options that Safari Industries now offers on its website. The smart baggage, part of the company’s Trackr portfolio, features location monitoring capabilities and comes with the Boat Tag.
Through the Find Hub and Find My apps, respectively, it works with both iOS and Android smartphones. If the Safari Trackr smart luggage is lost or stolen, users can play a sound and receive directions to it thanks to the built-in Bluetooth tracker integrated into the trolley. The suitcase itself comes with a five-year warranty; however, the Boat Tag is only covered for one year.
On the official Safari Industries website, the cabin-sized bag starts at Rs. 4,499, while the medium and large versions cost Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 6,999, respectively.
More information regarding the Safari x Boat smart baggage is expected to become available when the Amazon Prime Day 2025 sale begins on July 12.
