On Wednesday night, there was an explosion in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the explosion happened close to a Poonch shrine, near the Surankote bus stop.
The explosion was not formally confirmed, and no injuries were mentioned. Shrapnel was discovered on the walls of the temple near the bus stop following the explosion.
The reason for the explosion is still unknown. The police stepped up increased security around the bomb site and dispatched a forensic team to the scene.

On the ground, the explosion left a crater. The perpetrator of the blast is still unknown. Yet, reports said that it may have been a grenade attack. An inquiry has been launched by security services.
Salain village, which is located in the same vicinity as the explosion, saw the arrest of three persons early on Wednesday morning. Among the people detained were found to have two handguns, four magazines, six cell phones, and Rs 2.5 lakh in cash. Three of them were being questioned in connection with a filed case.
