Bversity secures Rs.1.5crores to grow its edtech business

Chennai-based Ed-Tech startup Bversity has raised ₹1.5 crore in a seed round of funding from Nativelead. Other key investors include Nagaraja Prakasam, chairman of Nativelead and Suresh Sambandam, founder and CEO of Kissflow.

Bversity, a Chennai-based Ed-Tech business, has secured 1.5 crore in early capital from Nativelead, a firm that assists companies, particularly in small towns in Tamil Nadu, and Suresh Sambandam, the founder and CEO of Kissflow.

Nagaraja Prakasam, Chairman of Nativelead; Andi Giri, CEO of Soft Square; Prabhat Vivekanandan, Director of Richmond Hospitals; Ashok Bakthavachalam, Chairman of KG Group; Ranjith Chakkath, CEO of Ninja Media; and Satish Kumar, Chairman of Milky Mist are among the other key investors who participated in this round.

Sudharsan V., founder and CEO; Raghul Jagannathan, co-founder and chief learning officer; Godwin Immanuel, co-founder and CMO; and Saiganesh V., co-founder and Chief Financial Officer — founded the firm in 2022 with the goal of bridging the industry-academic divide. They have created courses that they believe would prepare students to enter the biotechnology business and obtain jobs.

“The Biotech sector is predicted to expand to $150 billion by 2025, and we have witnessed an 8X increase in the number of new enterprises and job possibilities in this field in the last three years,” Mr. Sudharsan stated. “We aspire to establish a global biotechnology education brand.”

He went on to say that the firm is now trying to obtain its next round of funding in order to develop and scale.

The firm will use the monies it has currently collected to develop its personnel and enhance its technological skills.
