Can You Believe, A Magazine Refused To Interview Shah Rukh Khan?

Shah Rukh Khan started his journey from television and went on to become one of the biggest stars of Bollywood and you will be shocked to know that once a magazine refused to publish SRK’s interview.

Shah Rukh started his acting career in 1980 but he was able to make debut in Bollywood in 1992 with Deewana. Screenwriter Mushtaq Sheikh recently appeared in a podcast in which he revealed an interesting incident.

Mushtaq recalled that he was a freelance journalist at that time when SRK was a TV actor. He said, “I remember the funniest story here is that when I take his story to my editor to print it in the magazine, it’s not considered cool enough because he is not a film star.”

Mushtaq further said, “G magazine was all about film stars, and he was huge on television. Massive, but not in films. So at that time, obviously, as a freelancer, stories can be rejected, and you’re supposed to take it on your chin and move. I was like, ‘Okay, but I don’t know what to do, but the copy was excellent. He was brilliant’.”

Later on when G magazine wanted to interview SRK, the actor made it clear to them that he will only talk to Mushtaq Sheikh.

What do you have to say on this matter?
