After the sending of a bomb threat email to a few Chennai schools on Thursday, police quickly moved to dispatch bomb disposal squads to the schools.
While the police performed anti-sabotage inspections, the parents of the students at these schools were sent home.
People should not get alarmed, the police have said, adding that steps are being done to find the person who sent the emails.
Among the schools receiving bomb threat letters were St. Mary’s School in Parrys and the Chennai Public School in DAV Gopalapuram.
