Cloudflare has introduced a new funding program for startups to expand their businesses. A collaboration with 26 venture capital companies will give assistance to startups based on Cloudflare Workers.
Cloudflare, Inc., a security, performance, and reliability firm that is working to build a better Internet, today launched a new startup funding program in collaboration with top venture capital investors.
The Workers Launchpad Funding Program will give up to $1.25 billion in funding to businesses developing apps on Cloudflare Workers, a highly scalable serverless computing platform that enables developers to build or upgrade apps without installing or managing infrastructure.
Any private enterprise in the world that is built on Cloudflare Workers is eligible to apply. Companies that are chosen by the participating venture capital firms may get a monetary investment as well as mentorship and assistance from Cloudflare.
Matthew Prince, Cloudflare’s co-founder and CEO, said, “If venture investors seek for one thing in the firms they support, it’s the possibility for tremendous scale. Startups that use Cloudflare Workers are “developing on a platform designed to automatically sustain real size. While we can supply the technology, we’re excited to collaborate with some of the world’s greatest venture capital companies on the Workers Launchpad Funding Program, which could contribute more than a billion dollars in funding towards excellent enterprises built on Cloudflare Workers as they expand.”
Today, hundreds of thousands of developers worldwide rely on Cloudflare Workers to build and deploy apps without the need to configure or manage expensive infrastructure.
With Cloudflare’s network covering over 275 locations in over 100 countries, developers can deploy code near to their consumers, delivering Cloudflare’s speed, performance, and scalability to their clients.
More than 500,000 developers have built on Cloudflare’s developer platform and deployed over three million applications since 2017.
Startups who apply will be eligible for prospective investor funding, the Cloudflare Startup Enterprise Plan, which includes Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare for Teams, Cloudflare Stream, and other essential security and performance services, as well as special events.
