CM Eknath Shinde announces Rs 5 lakh for Raigad landslide deceased’s families

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said the families of Raigad district landslide victims would receive Rs 5 lakh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is monitoring the rescue efforts by the NDRF.

On Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde voiced grief over the Raigad landslide that killed four people.

The Chief Minister said that the families of the deceased will be given five lakh rupees and the government will pay for the treatment of the wounded.

CMO Maharashtra tweeted, “Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over the tragedy when the crevice collapsed on Irsalwadi settlement.”  

Eknath Shinde’s CMO said heavy rains and rough terrain were delaying rescue operations at the Raigad district landslide site and that helicopters would be deployed for evacuation as the weather cleared.

CMO Maharashtra announced that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde rushed to the scene of the disaster as soon as he learnt about the Raigad district landslip and began assessing relief and rescue operations.

The CMO said that the CM said the NDRF was handling all rescue operations and that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had been informed.

A crack destroyed the settlement in Khalapur District, Raigad, at the base of Irshalgarh. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde rushed to the scene to assess relief and rescue efforts. After the weather improves, helicopters will rescue victims. Rescue involved all systems. NDRF troops are rescuing. “Despite no road, relief work is underway and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken information about the incident, said Chief Minister Shinde,” tweeted CMO Maharashtra.

After the Raigad district landslide, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday.

Shah said four NDRF teams are rescuing people.

“I spoke with CM Eknath Shinde regarding the landslide due to heavy rain in Raigad in Maharashtra,” tweeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah. 4 NDRF troops and the local administration are rescuing people. We rescue individuals and treat the injured.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the Raigad district landslide scene this morning, where four persons were killed and more are believed trapped.

The Raigad Police reported four deaths and three injuries in the Irshalwadi village landslide in Khalapur tehsil. Police reported a heart attack death among the rescuers.

NDRF troops are rescuing.

After learning about the event, the NDRF sent two teams to search and rescue. They said that two additional Mumbai teams joined the operation.

Post-incident Raigad Police set up a control room. The police have recovered 30 individuals from the debris, but more are still missing.

“Dawn will illuminate the problem. “Over 100 police and district administration personnel, NDRF, locals, and NGOs are helping with the rescue,” the Raigad Police stated.

The government would pay for the injured’s treatment and provide Rs 5 lakh to the deceased’s family. As soon as the weather improves, helicopters will evacuate victims. The Raigad Police have rescued 30 persons, but many are believed to be buried beneath rubble. Over 100 police, district administration, NDRF, villagers, and NGOs are aiding the rescue.
