An Indian historical television series called Swaraj shows the country’s progress from the arrival of Vasco Da Gama till independence. Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, just introduced it, and its OTT release is scheduled for March 2024.
Where can You watch Season 1 of Swaraj?
On March 13, 2024, there was a ceremony to premiere the first season of Swaraj. Ten episodes are available in seven regional languages: Malayalam, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati. For the convenience of the audience, there are also subtitles accessible in Hindi and English.

Storyline
The Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign served as motivation for the commissioning of the series. The launch took place in August 2022. On August 14, 2022, the show debuted in Hindi on DD National. It then aired in nine regional languages on Doordarshan’s regional networks, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Odia, and Assamese. The production company Contiloe Pictures was in charge of its production.
Anurag Thakur stated at the ceremony that the series depicts India’s history from Vasco Da Gama’s landing in 1498 until the country’s independence in 1947. He went on to say that India was the richest nation when Vasco Da Gama arrived.
