Cracking Down: Noida Police Seizes Gangster’s Lavish ₹1.07 Crore House

According to the Noida Police, on Tuesday, it has attached a criminal’s illicit property valued at ₹ 1.07 crores, in compliance with the Gangsters Act.

According to the authorities, the connected property is a home in the Jarcha area’s Veerpur hamlet that is owned by Narendra Tewatiya, an active member of the Sundar Bhati-Anil Bhati gang.

“The action has been taken on the instructions of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh under section 14 (1) of the Gangsters Act in connection with a case lodged at the Kasna police station in 2019,” according to a police spokeswoman.

Police in the district have warned that they will continue to take similar action against crooks.

To successfully suppress gangsters, mafias, criminals, and their connections, the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act permits the attachment of unlawful properties.

According to official statistics, the Noida Police has attached assets worth ₹ 81, 87, 70,319 that belong to mafia and criminals in 39 instances so far in 2023, the most of any district in the state.
