Creator Ads Revenue Sharing: Twitter introduces new program for content creators to make money

To enable users to make a living directly from the network, Twitter has just announced a new program for content creators that shares advertising income. On its ‘Creator Ads Revenue Sharing’ page, the company introduced the scheme, noting that content creators will now have the chance to earn a part of ad income beginning with comments to their articles. The initiative will first be accessible in nations where payments are supported by Stripe, a worldwide payment processing company.

An initial set of creators will be invited to participate in the initiative before it is rolled out to all users of the platform. Twitter hopes to encourage more artists to use the site and provide useful content for their followers by introducing income sharing.

Users who were interested in famous people like Elon Musk and their prospective rewards asked about the news. The owner of Twitter responded by saying they have added their portion to the creator compensation pool.

Elon Musk himself indicated last month that Twitter will start compensating creators for the advertisements that were displayed in their responses. He emphasized the company’s commitment to paying artists for their efforts by mentioning a sizeable initial payment of $5 million to them.

The micro-blogging site is also taking measures to tackle spam messages in users’ direct message (DM) inboxes in addition to the advertisements revenue sharing scheme. To cut down on spam messages, a new message setting will be available starting on July 14.

Messages from verified users that users don’t follow will be sent to the message request inbox with this configuration, however messages from persons they follow will show up in their normal inbox. Users who previously permitted message requests from anybody will be switched over automatically, however they can change it back at any moment.
