The Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is an integral part of team India and there is no denying the fact that his presence in the team increases chances of India’s victory.
Jasprit Bumrah recently became the world’s number one test bowler; he is the first Indian pacer and the fourth Indian bowler to do so after Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Bishan Singh Bedi.
Bumrah played an important role in team India’s win in the second test match as he took total nine wickets in the match and many former cricketers especially the pacers claimed that the Yorkers bowled by Bumrah in the second test match were unmatchable.
However, there was a time when India played without Jasprit Bumrah for long as the pacer was injured and many feel that he should be rested in between as India plays a lot of cricket.
The former South African cricketer Dale Steyn feels that India won’t miss Jasprit Bumrah if he is rested now and then to manage his workload. He said, “Being an Indian player, there’s going to be a lot of workload. There’s a lot of cricket that India plays, they’re one of the highly-sought after teams in the world. It seems like India don’t really miss him because the step-in bowlers are up to the standard, and it’s a great credit to Indian cricket.”
Well, our best pacer needs to be rested for sure but won’t the Indian team miss him?
