Delhi Capitals registered their 4th win in the ongoing IPL 2024 when they defeated Gujarat Titans in the match which was played yesterday at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi.
The skipper of DC, Rishabh Pant must be very happy as not only his team won the match by 4 runs but he also played a sensational knock of 88 runs not out for which he faced only 43 deliveries. Pant gave a perfect finish to the DC innings as he scored 31 runs of the last over which was bowled by Mohit Sharma and Sharma ended the match with the most expensive bowling figures (0-73) in the history of the IPL.
Talking about his performance in the match, Rishabh Pant stated, “Everyday that I’m in the middle, I feel better. Every hour on the field matters, I love being on the field. I try to give it my 100% and it takes some time sometimes. I think the first six in the match gives me the confidence in a game. The more time I spend in the centre, the better I feel.”
GT tried well as Sai Sudarshan (65 runs) and David Miller (55 runs) kept their team in the chase but in the end, they fell short by 4 runs.
