The movie lovers are very excited as Kalki 2898 AD is set to release on 27 June 2024 and it will be the second time when fans will be able to see Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone together on the big screen.
The first time Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone collaborated for Shoojit Sircar’s Piku which released in 2015 and the audiences loved not only the movie but also the acting of both the actors as they beautifully portrayed the characters of father and daughter.
However, a little controversy erupted when Deepika Padukone organized a success party for Piku and invited many Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, etc. but she forgot to invite Big B.
Initially people thought that Big B had not attended the party because he was sick but then it was revealed that he wasn’t invited.
When Deepika was asked about it in an interview, she said, “It was a major technical error on my part and by the time it came to my notice it was too late and I’ll never forgive myself for it. I am so embarrassed that I have not even had the courage to call him after that. I did eventually text him a couple of days ago but I have still not had the courage to pick up the phone and even explain myself to him. But I will. It was a major technical thing.”
After some time when Amitabh was asked about it, he said, “Jo beet gayi so baat gayi. There are too many things that happen. You can’t keep mulling over what’s already happened.”
Kalki 2898 AD also stars Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, etc. and it has been directed by Nag Ashwin.
