In a shocking incident, two friends of 26 years old son of assistant commissioner, Delhi Police allegedly killed him by pushing him into a canal. The name of the victim is Lakshya Chauhan, he was a lawyer by profession who used to practice in Tees Hazari court and he lived with his parents in Samaypur Badli area.
As per the reports, on Monday night, Lakshya went to attend a wedding with his two of his friends, Vikas Bharadwaj and Abhishek but when he didn’t return home till Tuesday, his father ACP Yashpal Singh lodged a missing complaint.
After three days, police arrested Abhishek from his place near Narela and a police official told, “We arrested Abhishek after he confessed to murdering Chauhan along with Vikas by pushing him into the Munak canal that is nearly 16-feet deep and has four channels, of which two flow towards Delhi and the other two towards Haryana. The search for Chauhan’s body continued on Friday. But divers are yet to find it.”
Abhishek also told the cops that he got a call from Vikas on Monday noon and he asked him to attend a marriage function in Sonipat. Abhishek further said that Vikas told him that Lakshya borrowed some money from him but whenever he asked Lakshya to return it, he misbehaved instead of returning the money and because of this, he (Vikas) wanted to eliminate Lakshya.
Abhishek further said that by 12 am, they left from marriage and on the way back home, they stopped near Munak Canal for addressing nature call and at that time, Vikas and Abhishek pushed Lakshya in the canal and ran away from there.
Police has now launched a massive search operation for Vikas Bharadwaj and the officials are hopeful of catching him soon.
