On Wednesday morning, Delhi residents awoke to a little warmer morning than the previous day, with the lowest temperature falling to 7.4 degrees Celsius—a degree or two below average.
Three degrees below average, the minimum temperature was 6.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 6.5 degrees Celsius on Monday.
The meteorological agency said that as of 8:30 am on Wednesday, the humidity level was 100%. Over the past few days, the nation’s capital has seen temperatures that are below average. The weather service says that there’s a chance for a further drop in the lowest temperature throughout the following two days.
The ‘very bad’ category of the Air Quality Index (AQI) was logged at 377, an increase from 333 on Tuesday.
An AQI of 0–50 is regarded as “good,” 51–100 as “satisfactory,” 101–200 as “moderate,” 201–300 as “poor,” 301–400 as “very poor,” 401–450 as “severe,” and 450 and above as “severe-plus.”
