Delhi on High Alert: Police Reinforce Security for Eid-al-Adha Celebrations

As Eid-al-Adha festivities continue on Thursday, Delhi police have increased security and stated that public safety is their first priority.

Security preparations have been ramped-up and security forces have been organized near the premises of Jama Masjid in Delhi on the occasion of Eid al-Adha (Bakrid) on Thursday. Deepender Pathak, Special CP, Delhi Police, said that top security arrangements have been made and that senior officials are on the field across the national capital to uphold peace and agreement during the celebrations.

Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP Central, declared that “Security of the people is our top priority and with the help of MCD, we are ensuring that the area is clean and hygienic.”

He added that there are approximately 1000 district police officers on duty, and foreign forces are also assisting them. The deployment of security forces was also ensured by Delhi Police Special CP Deepender Pathak, who also claimed that the best laws and preparations were done for the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

“On the occasion of Eid-al-Adha, the highest level of security and law and order arrangements has been undertaken. Senior officials are on the scene, and security troops have been deployed appropriately, he claimed.

Additionally, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, a former union minister and current leader of the BJP, sent his best wishes for Eid and declared that India will be the only nation where people of all religions could coexist and celebrate holidays together.

Happy Eid to every citizen of the country, he said to the reporters that India will be the only country where adherents of all religions reside and that we all jointly celebrate religious holidays, which is why it is called “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

Additionally, Naqvi prayed for the wellbeing and advancement of the nation’s citizens. This is our prayer: “May the nation move forward in peace, progress, and people’s empowerment,” he stated.

On the festival of Eid-al-Adha, Naqvi performed namaz at Panja Sharif Dargah, Kashmere Gate, earlier in the day.
