On June 28, the head of Delhi’s DCW, Swati Maliwal, announced on
Twitter that the youngster who was seen masturbating outside a girls’
boarding school in Delhi at midnight on June 12 had been charged by the
Delhi Police. An earlier video and report that a young person had exposed
himself in public and outside the female hostel were given to the DCW
chief.
When a female resident of the paying guest (PG) facility in Delhi filed a
complaint alleging sexual harassment, the Delhi Commission for Women
(DCW) urged that Delhi police take action against the accused.
Following a report that a PG resident had witnessed the lad outside the
establishment masturbating while she was on the balcony with her female
friends, DCW issued the warning.
Delhi Police received a notice with the date June 19 requesting action be
taken in the situation. At that time, Delhi Police did not respond. But on
Wednesday, June 28, Swati Maliwal tweeted that Delhi Police had reported
the incident and provided additional case updates.

In the meantime, Swati Maliwal questioned, “Why and how are the crooks
in Delhi so confident? Why don’t the police take action against them right
away? To prevent future crimes, a FIR should be filed and the man should
be detained right away by the police.
The DCW leader also stressed how “thousands of women and girls” reside
in PGs in the capital and how “critical” it is to keep them safe.
Numerous users responded to the issue shortly after it caught people’s
attention on social media. “This behavior is reprehensible and really
unsettling. Justice must be carried out quickly, one user said.
