The individuals who were taken into custody are Manoj from Rohtak in Haryana, Kaviraj from Bhiwani in the same state, Anil Kumar from Aya Nagar in Delhi, and Prabhat Sharma from Chhatarpur.
Based on a complaint submitted by a person going by the name of Sachin Lohiya and video footage of the road rage incident, the police detained the accused.
The police said that the incident happened on Friday and involved two groups fighting after their automobiles collided.
The police claim that Lohiya and Vikrant, Prabhat Sharma’s driver, got into a fight after the crash. Prabhat allegedly invited four of his associates, named Manoj, Anil, Kaviraj, and others, over to the scene as the dispute turned into a full-fledged fight.
Then, according to authorities, the opposing gang battered Lohiya severely. According to the police, the altercation injured Prabhat Sharma and Sachin Lohiya. The latter was taken to the trauma department at AIIMS after suffering serious injuries.
Witnesses at the scene reported seeing one of the suspects wearing clothing like that of a Delhi Police officer. The exact item that Manoj, the accused, claimed to have bought from the Jharoda Kalan area, was found by the police.
Based on a complaint from Lohiya, a case under pertinent IPC provisions was filed against the accused.
Following his medical evaluation, the wounded person’s statement was recorded, according to the police. Ajay Kumar, the brother of the accused Kaviraj, and Sachin Yadav, a coworker of Prabhat Sharma, were being questioned by the police regarding the affray when this report was filed. The police also disclosed that one of the defendants, Prabhat Sharma, had filed a different complaint against Lohiya.
In the complaint, Lohiya was charged with striking Prabhat Sharma and vandalizing his automobile. Lohiya was taken into custody after a complaint was filed under the applicable IPC provisions. The police did report that he was eventually freed on bond, though.
