This study, which examined the privacy policies of 25 well-known dating apps, presents a concerning image. 22 of the apps, an astounding number, were given the lowest possible rating of “Privacy Not Included.” This indicates that the ways in which these apps acquire and share user data present serious concerns.

It is impossible to confirm that assertion. We are positive that the majority of dating apps have serious security flaws that compromise user privacy.”

- Hinge’s background tracking: Hinge goes one step further and might be able to track your location even while you’re not using the app. This gives rise to grave worries over ongoing user monitoring.
