Have you seen viral images of double-decker airplane seats?
In the modern times, flights are certainly the fastest mode of transportation and though their prices have fallen in comparison to the older times, still the airlines are looking forward to reduce their prices further by making some innovations.
One such innovation is to create double decker seats in the airplane which will help the airlines in making the optimum use of the space. The designer of this concept was Alejandro Nunez Vicente and for the first time, it was showcased in an aircraft expo in Germany.
Alexander also shared the photos from the Expo on his Instagram account with a big message which was headlined as, “WELCOME TO A NEW ERA OF FLYING, SUSTAINABLY & COMFORTABLY, AS IT SHOULD BE”.
He also addresses all those who troll him for these designs by saying that his goal is to make the economy class better for all those travellers who can’t afford more expensive tickets.

The majority of the online users had a negative reaction to these designs as many of them were concerned about the safety of the passengers and they found these seats extremely unsafe in case of mishap and evacuation.
One user wrote, “This actually makes me sick… we’re already packed in like cattle when we fly. And there is no way this is safe in an emergency. Stop trying to make air travel worse!”
There was one user who assured that ticket prices won’t fall even if these double decker seats are used in the flight and one angry user just asked the question, “Do you like getting your face farted on?”
