The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) declared on Sunday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Dubai for the World Climate Action Summit this week, spending two days there.
On November 1, Prime Minister Modi will give India’s declaration at the UN climate negotiations in Dubai. He will talk about strategies and efforts to scale up climate action. Bhupender Yadav, the environment minister, will also be present at COP28. On December 1, Prime Minister Modi will attend the climate action meeting at COP28 in Dubai.
According to the statement, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, invited Modi to visit Dubai from November 30 to December 1.
The high-level portion of the 28th Conference of Parties (COP-28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is known as the World Climate Action Summit (UNFCCC). Under the UAE’s chairmanship, the COP-28 is taking place in Dubai from November 28 to December 12.
