Dwayne Bravo Joins This IPL Franchise As Mentor After Retirement

Dwayne Bravo, the former West Indies all-rounder, has joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their mentor following his retirement from professional cricket. Bravo will take over the role from Gautam Gambhir, who recently left KKR to become the head coach of the Indian national team.

This marks Bravo’s first involvement with KKR, though he has been associated with the Knight Rider group for nine seasons, representing Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Bravo’s cricketing career came to an end earlier this week during the CPL when a groin injury sustained while attempting to catch Faf du Plessis brought an early close to his final season. Despite the injury, Dwayne Bravo batted at No. 11 for Trinbago Knight Riders, but his team was unsuccessful in their run chase.

In his new role, Bravo will mentor KKR and oversee other franchises under the Knight Rider banner, bringing his vast T20 experience and leadership to the teams. Dwayne Bravo’s addition as a mentor is expected to strengthen KKR, given his successful cricketing career and his long-standing relationship with the Knight Rider group.

Congratulations!
