DYK Samantha Wanted To Leave Honey Bunny But Raj & DK Didn’t Agree?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has displayed immense strength and perseverance while working on her upcoming series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. The actress, diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disorder affecting her muscles, candidly shared her struggles during an interview. She revealed that she initially doubted her ability to continue in the show and even asked the directors, Raj and DK, to replace her due to her health condition.

Samantha recalled how she pleaded with the directors to find someone else for the role, stating, “I begged them to move on because I really didn’t think I could do it. I was really sure I couldn’t.” She went as far as recommending other actresses, saying, “I sent other recommendations, ‘Look at this heroine, she is so amazing. She will kill it. I beg you I can’t do this.’ I sent like four options to them. I was really not well.”

Despite her initial fears, Samantha pushed through and found the inner strength to complete the project. Upon seeing the final product, she expressed her gratitude for sticking with it. “Now, watching this show, I am so thankful that they didn’t make it without me and that I found the strength to do it. Even before the verdict is out for this show, I am going to give it to myself for pulling through,” she said, reflecting on her journey.

Citadel: Honey Bunny, a spin-off of the popular American series Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden, is set to premiere on November 7. The show promises a mix of action and drama, with Samantha’s performance being highly anticipated as a remarkable comeback after her health struggles.
