Today’s polling hours for 199 of Rajasthan’s 200 seats are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Due to the passing of Congress candidate and sitting MLA Gurmeet Singh Koonar, the poll for the Karanpur seat in Sriganganagar has been postponed.

There are 1,862 candidates running in these elections, and there are 5.25 crore voters in all. Of them, 22.61 lakh are new voters from the 18–19 age group, while 1.71 crore are between the ages of 18 and 30.

The BJP has fielded seven MPs for the Assembly elections, including Kirodi Lal Meena, Rajyavardhan Rathore, and Diya Kumari. A few of the MPs, all of whom were included in the first list, are running for seats that Vasundhara Raje would have otherwise won.

51,890 polling parties have arrived at their places after all preparations have been finished.

Voting will take place today from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in 199 of the 200 constituencies, and the ballots will be counted on December 3. The BJP is attempting to overthrow the Ashok Gehlot-led administration by highlighting collaborative leadership and depending on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity, while the present Congress government is vying for a second term in office.
