Elon Musk launches artificial intelligence startup to compete with Google’s Bard, OpenAI

Elon Musk has launched an artificial intelligence startup called, xAI. Musk also presented a team of engineers from the same large American technology firms he hopes to fight against to construct a ChatGPT rival. Musk, who owns Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, will lead the venture.

Musk has said AI development should be halted and the industry needs management. Musk often worries about AI’s “civilizational destruction.” On Wednesday night, Musk discussed his plan to protect AI on Twitter Spaces. He said that xAI will construct a “maximally curious” AI instead of coding morals.Musk continued, “If it tried to understand the true nature of the universe, that’s actually the best thing I can come up with.”

I think it will be pro-humanity since mankind is so intriguing. Musk has predicted the emergence of superintelligence in five to six years. Musk co-founded OpenAI, which invented ChatGPT, in 2015. Microsoft funds OpenAI. xAI’s website announces a July 14 Twitter Spaces event. Tony Wu, Christian Szegedy, Igor Babuschkin, and Greg Yang are the xAI team.

In March, Musk registered Nevada-incorporated X.AI Corp. Musk is the lone director and Jared Birchall, the family office’s managing director, is the secretary. Musk revealed in April that TruthGPT, a maximum truth-seeking AI, will compete with Google’s Bard and Microsoft’s Bing AI to understand the world.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot, released in November 2018, introduced generative AI to the public before Bard and Bing AI. Dan Hendrycks, leader of the Center for AI Safety, will advise the xAI team on AI risks. Musk’s new company will work with Tesla, Twitter, and others, according to the website. xAI recruits engineers and researchers in San Francisco.

Conclusion Elon Musk founded xAI, an artificial intelligence business with engineers from major American technology corporations to compete with ChatGPT. Musk—CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter—will lead the startup. AI’s “civilizational destruction” has worried Musk. xAI wants to create a “maximally curious” pro-humanity AI that knows the cosmos. Musk departed OpenAI, which built ChatGPT, in 2018.

Ex-engineers Igor Babuschkin, Tony Wu, Christian Szegedy, and Greg Yang will lead xAI. March registered Nevada-based X.AI Corp. Musk is the lone director and Jared Birchall is the managing director. xAI will be competing with Google’s Bard and Microsoft’s Bing AI.
