Encounter in Ludhiana: Two Suspects in Businessman Kidnapping Case Meet Their Luck

According to police, two of the suspects listed in the kidnapping case of the Ludhiana businessman were slain following an altercation that happened in Ludhiana, Punjab, today. The police also stated that a special sub-inspector was hurt and was receiving medical attention at the hospital at the time.

“In the businessman kidnapping case, seven people have been listed as suspects; five of them have already been apprehended, and two of them are still at large. Several gunshots were fired between the accused and a group of police as they were being pursued, according to Kuldeep Singh Chahal, the Ludhiana Police Commissioner.

“Sanjeev Kumar and Shubham Gopi were recognised as the dead accused. Jatin, Premjit, Mantosh Kumar, Aditya Sharma, and Mandeep Kumar are the other defendants who have been placed under arrest,” the statement continued.

He said that the businessman’s car, which had been robbed during the event, had already been found by the police.

A businessman with a textile company was reportedly kidnapped and fired at by unknown people in Ludhiana, Punjab, earlier this month.

In addition, the businessman’s automobile was stolen by the miscreants, who then demanded ransom from his family.

The event happened late at night. At about 8:15 p.m., the businessman, named as Sambhav Jain, was abducted from Laddu Colony, which is under police station Basti Jodhewal, according to the police.

The miscreants kidnapped the victim and then sought money from the victim’s relatives. Nonetheless, the event was reported to the police by the victim’s family.

The culprit shot the victim in the thigh and abandoned him close to Vishwakarma Chowk Road in the city after learning the police were pursuing them. Following the victim’s discovery by law enforcement, he was taken to a local hospital.
