England Gets A Big Blow As Their Best Spinner Won’t Play 2nd Test Vs India

The second test match of the 5-match test series will start tomorrow at Vizag and both the teams are weighing their options for making a perfect playing eleven as England will love to increase their lead by 2-0 and India will be desperate to make a comeback in the series after disappointing their fans in the first test match.

Recently, the head coach of the England cricket team, Brendon McCullum stated that he won’t mind playing all spinners in the second test match if pitches continue to turn in the same manner as they turned in the first test match. But the England cricket team has got a big blow as the specialist spinner Jack Leach won’t be playing the second test match due to injury.

Jack Leach is the most experienced spinner of England in the squad which has come to India and though he didn’t get many wickets in the first test match yet he provided good support to debutant Tom Hartley.

Talking about Jack Leach’s condition, Ben Stokes told mediapersons, “He’s ruled out of the second Test. Unfortunately, the knock he took resulted in a haematoma in his leg. It’s a big shame for us, a big shame for Jack, obviously after a long time out of the game with his back. To sustain that injury, first game back, obviously it’s frustrating. But it’s something we’re assessing every day. The medical team have taken over that, and hopefully, it’s not something that’s too serious and keeps him out for longer in the series.”

With Jack Leach injured, the uncapped player Shoaib Bashir may get a chance to play in the second test match but Ben Stokes stated that they haven’t made up their mind regarding the final eleven.
