Essel World, a theme park outside of Mumbai in Gorai, is home to the Shot-n-Drop, Hoola Loop, and Tunnel Twister attractions. In addition to adventure rides, a bowling alley, an ice rink, a disco, and gorgeous green areas, the amusement park includes more than 50 streets.
Water Kingdom is the name of the park’s water park. The announcement of Essel World’s temporary closure was made on the company’s official website, however several internet users pointed out that the park had been closed since the outbreak, raising the question of whether the amusement park had closed permanently.
The website states, “Attention please….We are temporarily closed until further notice.” While others are expecting for the park to reopen with improvements and new attractions. Many people pointed out that since the Covid-19 outbreak, the park has been closed.
The famous “Essel world mein rahunga main, Ghar nahi jaunga main” jingle. Internet users were quickly brought back to the tune that has become so well-known: “Essel World mein rahunga main, ghar nahi jaunga main.”
Some Twitter users gave the tune their own spin. “Essel World main kaise rahunga main? (sic)” one of them said. Another person stated that the Water Kingdom is still operating but in poor shape while the amusement park is closed.
“It was the original amusement park for us 80s and 90s kids,” a user wrote, encapsulating the sentiments of nearly everyone who heard or read about the news.
