Ex-Indian Player Advises Rohit Sharma To Learn Captaincy From MS Dhoni

Team India finds itself in a challenging position in the first Test against New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The visitors have extended their lead to over 250 runs after skittling India out for a mere 46 runs in the first innings.

Rachin Ravindra played a standout role, scoring a magnificent century and dominating the Indian bowling attack, which included the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja. Ravindra’s exceptional performance has firmly established New Zealand’s control in the series opener.

While India struggles on the field, former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has made a pointed comparison between Rohit Sharma’s and MS Dhoni’s captaincy styles. On X (formerly Twitter), Manjrekar noted that Dhoni had an exceptional ability to anticipate game situations and make timely bowling changes before the damage escalated, a quality he believes Rohit Sharma needs to adopt.

“Dhoni had this very unique ability to preempt & make a bowling change before the damage went out of control. Rohit needs to bring that quality into his leadership,” Manjrekar tweeted.

What will be your reaction to Sanjay Manjrekar’s advice to Rohit Sharma?
