Ex Player Calls Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma ‘The Only Failure’ In IND-AFG Series

Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma’s fans were quite happy after their favourite cricketer made a comeback in the shortest format after 14 months as he got selected in the Indian squad for playing the 3-match T20I series against Afghanistan.

However, the skipper has failed in making any impact with bat as in the first match he got out for duck after getting run-out because of mix-up with Shubman Gill and in the second match, he got out for golden duck. The good thing was that the Indian team won the first two matches of the series with the help of brilliant performances by young cricketers Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal, etc.

The former Indian cricketer Murali Kartik has talked about Rohit Sharma’s performance in the series. During the commentary, he said, “The only failure has been the skipper. Two naughts in two games but he wouldn’t be too worried about that. Back in this format after a long time. Back as captain. He was run out in the first game. Tried to hit a big one today and lost his stumps but India have done well.”

Well, the Indian skipper will certainly like to change the “only failure” tag in the third T20I of the series which will be played on 17th Jan at M. Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru.
