From smartphones to stylish EVs: Xiaomi’s first electric cars released

Xiaomi has expanded beyond smartphones to make stylish electric vehicles. Xiaomi announced its first EVs, the XiaomiSU7 and XiaomiSU7Max.

Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone maker, released its first electric cars. The XiaomiSU7 and XiaomiSU7Max highlight Xiaomi’s move beyond smartphones into autos.

Xiaomi claims the XiaomiSU7Max can reach 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds. At 5.28 seconds, the XiaomiSU7 takes longer. Its top speed is 210 km/h, whereas the SU7Max can reach 265 km/h.

The business said they’re constructing a smart system that connects our lives, cars, and houses, not just smartphones.

“#XiaomiSU7 makes a significant Stride as Xiaomi expands from the smartphone industry to the automotive sector, completing the Human x Car x Home smart ecosystem,” it wrote on X.

The new EV comes in Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Verdant Green. These automobiles feature E-Motors, battery, HyperCasting, autonomous driving, and a smart interior, according to Xiaomi.

Industry estimates put the XiaomiSU7’s pricing between 200,000 and 300,000 yuan (Rs 25 to 35 lakh). These automobiles will debut next year. They’ll be made in Beijing by a BAIC Group subsidiary that can produce 200,000 automobiles annually.
