Gavaskar Predicts When Virat Kohli Will Score His 50th Century & Beat Sachin

The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is in great form and has played an important role in India’s successful campaign in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023. He has scored 48 centuries in ODIs and needs just one more to equal the record of legendary Sachin Tendulkar who holds the record of the highest number of ODI centuries. Virat Kohli was quite unlucky to miss the chance of scoring his 49th century in Dharamshala in the match against New Zealand in which he scored 95 runs.

Now fans are hoping to see Virat Kohli score his 49th ton in the next match which will be played on Sunday against England. However, the former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has made an interesting prediction in which he stated that he is not sure of the 49th century but he is sure when Virat Kohli will hit his 50th hundred.

Gavaskar said in a show, “I don’t know about the 49th but I know about the record-breaking 50th. Kohli will slam his 50th ODI century against South Africa at the Eden Gardens and what better occasion than his birthday? It’s a sight when you slam a ton there because the Kolkata crowd gives you a standing ovation, and cheers for you, the air is filled with whistles and claps. It is a moment to savour for every batter.”

India will play against South Africa on 5 November which is Virat Kohli’ birthday as well but for scoring the 50th century on 5 Nov, Virat has to score a century either in the match against England or in the match against Sri Lanka.

What do you think, will Virat Kohli score his 50th century against South Africa?
