Every human being wants to live a comfortable and happy life and for this purpose, many from remote areas leave their native places and shift to big towns and cities. Slowly the population of these remote places gets reduced as a result of which they turn into abandoned cities.
Something of this sort happened in Ireland, people moved out of the remote islands and now the government has come up with a new policy starting July 1, “Our Living Islands” for increasing the population of these 30 islands which are not connected with the mainland by bridges.
The statement by the government reads, “The aim of this policy is to ensure that sustainable, vibrant communities can continue to live – and thrive – on the offshore islands for many years to come.”
This is a great opportunity for those who want to live a new life in a new country as anyone can apply for taking part in this policy and interestingly, the Irish government will pay 80K Euro (Rs. 71 lakh) to each person shifting to its remote island.
People who are willing to relocate to these remote islands will need to buy a property which has to be built before 1993 and is lying vacant for a minimum 2 years. The money which the Irish government is giving can be used for the purpose of renovation, structural improvement and for installation of insulation in the house.
