Goa will be first India state to provide free IVF treatment

The Goa administration stated that it will be the first state in India to offer free IVF treatment from September 1. Couples experiencing problems conceiving have welcomed this news since they may now afford a full range of reproductive therapies.

Goa’s chief minister Pramod Sawant and health minister Vishwajit Rane claimed the government is providing free IVF to infertile couples. The ART and IUI/IVF Centre launched on Monday.

The Chief Minister said the decision was made since infertility affects 12–15% of Indian couples and may be a major social and psychological issue. He added that the decision was made to reduce such couples’ financial burdens and improve their chances of having children.

The Health Minister said Goan women won’t have to depart for IVF. This measure helps families enjoy motherhood in keeping with the government’s aim of comprehensive healthcare.

The government’s CSR initiative would sponsor a unique IVF clinic in Goa. This facility will offer top-notch fertility treatment with cutting-edge technologies and competent doctors. The state administration hopes this would make Goa one of India’s reproductive treatment hubs.

Any Goan couple who cannot conceive naturally is eligible for free IVF. A unique government helpline allows couples to contact with inquiries and obtain free IVF treatment.

Free IVF treatment in Goa is promising for Indian infertile couples. Not everyone can afford pricey infertility treatments. Goa is the first state in India to offer free IVF, and other states are expected to follow.

The state government’s effort should help poor couples who have been struggling to have a baby.

Conclusion:-

Goa will be the first Indian state to offer free IVF to infertile couples from September 1. A center was  opened on Monday to help couples start a family and alleviate financial burden. The state’s CSR initiative will support a unique IVF clinic with innovative technology and competent doctors. Free IVF is available to Goan couples who cannot conceive. The government also offers free IVF therapy to couples through a hotline. This approach is supposed to help infertile couples and lessen stigma.
