Online rumours regarding Goldy Brar, a Canadian gangster who is suspected of being the mastermind behind the death of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala and of threatening Salman Khan, have surfaced today. Brar was shot and killed in the US. But based on the most recent information provided by IANS, the gangster is still alive.
Do Goldy Brar is still alive?
Actor Goldy Brar was reportedly one of the two people engaged in the shooting incident, however the Fresno Police Department in California denied this on Wednesday.
According to a clarification sent by Lieutenant William J. Dooley via email, “We can confirm that this is absolutely not true if you are inquiring because of the online chatter claiming that the shooting victim is ‘Goldy Brar.'”
In response to false information spreading on social media and internet news sources, he continued, “We have received questions this morning from all around the world. This rumour has taken off and spread like wildfire, albeit we have no idea who began it. It isn’t true, though, once again. Undoubtedly, Goldy is not the victim.
The police have not yet revealed the identity of the two people who were attacked. After undergoing treatment, one of them was released from the hospital, while the other subsequently died there.
About Goldy Brar
For those who don’t know, Goldy was one of the top 25 most wanted offenders in Canada and had supposedly been hiding there for a while. Under India’s strict anti-terrorism statute UAPA, Goldy, whose true name was Satinderjit Singh, was labelled a terrorist earlier this year. In addition, Interpol issued a non-bailable warrant and a Red Corner Notice against him.
Last year, during an interview, Goldy acknowledged planning Sidhu’s murder. In the same interview, Brar said of Sidhu, “He was an egoistic person.” He abused his wealth and political influence. He was given the lesson that had to be imparted to him. For those who don’t know, on May 29, Moosewala was shot and killed close to his village, Moosa, in Punjab’s Mansa district.
Also, the gangster declared that he wanted to go after Salman Khan. “As we’ve said before, it’s not just about Salman Khan,” he remarked. We shall keep trying to defeat all of our adversaries as long as we live. We have Salman Khan as our aim, no question about it. We’ll persevere and let you know when we’re successful.
