To accommodate a slightly larger cover display, the new hinge is tilted. It’s also said that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has better durability. The successor to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold may be among the first folding smartphones with an IP68 rating.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s Durability Rating Tipped

According to Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to feature fewer bezels and a new hinge this year. The handset may be thinner than its predecessor, and the new hinge is reportedly thinner. However, precise measurements are not provided in the paper. According to reports, Google plans to make the new foldable’s exterior display screen larger. According to reports, the cover display is 6.4 inches in size, while the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s outside screen is 6.3 inches.

Additionally, it has been reported that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have IP68 dust and water resistance. Compared to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which was only rated IPX8, this would be a significant improvement.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are available with an IP48 rating. According to rumours rumours, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, anticipated to debut next month, is also rumoured to feature an IP68 rating. The Honor Magic V3 has an IPX8 rating, whilst Oppo’s Find X5 has an IPX9 certification.

According to earlier design rumours, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold would look like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It is anticipated to come with Android 16 with a Tensor G5 processor. It is predicted that the phone will be a little thicker than the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. When unfurled, it is supposed to measure 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3 mm.

It is expected that the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will have up to 512GB of storage and a maximum of 16GB of RAM. The MediaTek T900 modem is most likely to be used. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s 48-megapixel rear camera unit is expected to remain.
