The much-loved comedy film Bhagam Bhag, featuring Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal, has been in the news as reports of a sequel have surfaced. Producers have confirmed plans for Bhagam Bhag 2, but Govinda recently revealed that he has not been contacted about the project.
In an interview, Govinda clarified his involvement, saying, “Nobody has approached me for Bhagam Bhag 2 or sat down for a discussion. There are stories of me doing not just Bhagam Bhag 2 but many other sequels, including Partner.”
Reports suggest that filming for the sequel is expected to begin in 2025, though details remain limited. According to a report, Akshay Kumar is keen to revive the franchise and will reprise his role in the sequel. The project aims to retain the humor and charm that made the original a hit.
The rights for Bhagam Bhag 2 have reportedly been acquired by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, in collaboration with Shemaroo Entertainment. A fresh team of writers is currently working on the script, which is still in its early stages.
Bhagam Bhag 2 without Govinda is unimaginable, isn’t it?
