Due to the rising cases of DeepFake, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other celebrities have flagged, the government and social media companies are working to develop detailed guidelines for detecting, preventing, and spreading such misleading and fake video content within ten days (end of November 2023).

At a Thursday press conference after meeting with social media platforms,
