That was really pathetic & disgusting on Kamran Akmal’s part
The former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal is known for making weird statements but this time he went overboard as he made disrespectful comments on the Indian cricketer Arshdeep Singh and the Sikh community.
During the India-Pakistan match, Kamran Akmal was a part of a discussion panel on a news channel and at that time, he made fun of Arshdeep and his religion. Kamran Akmal stated, “Kuch bhi ho sakta hai… Dekhe last over karna Arshdeep Singh ne hai. Waise uska rhythm nahi laga. 12 baj gaye hai (Anything can happen. The last over will be bowled by Arshdeep Singh; he hasn’t looked in a great rhythm. And It is already 12.”
The comments didn’t go well with the online community and he was slammed brutally. Soon the former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh took notice of it and he slammed Kamran Akmal mercilessly. Bhajji responded with, “Lakh di laanat tere Kamraan Akhmal.. You should know the history of Sikhs before u open ur filthy mouth. We Sikhs saved ur mothers and sisters when they were abducted by invaders, the time invariably was 12 o’clock . Shame on you guys.. Have some Gratitude @KamiAkmal23”
Soon Kamran Akmal understood that he made a mistake and he made a tweet in which he apologized, he said, “I deeply regret my recent comments and sincerely apologize to @harbhajan_singh and the Sikh community. My words were inappropriate and disrespectful. I have the utmost respect for Sikhs all over the world and never intended to hurt anyone. I am truly sorry. #Respect #Apology”
That was really pathetic on Kamran Akmal’s part.
