29,000 posts at All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have been filled in the last six months, with hiring continuing on a rotation basis. The government aims to provide the best tertiary care in states.
On Friday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced 29,000 recruitments at AIIMS in the past six months. The Health and Family Welfare Minister told the Lok Sabha that AIIMS are hiring, to provide the best tertiary care in their states.
In the recent six months, 29,000 SC/ST and OBC seats have been filled on a rotation basis, the minister said AIIMS supplementaries.
The government wants all AIIMS to be fully functional and provide the best tertiary care in the states, he said during Question Hour.
Bharati Pravin Pawar, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, told a member that Madurai’s AIIMS site procurement was delayed.
She guaranteed the member the AIIMS will be built after amending the budget, finalizing the master design, and winning the tender.
