An official claimed on Friday that a 41-year-old man from Maharashtra’s Thane district reportedly committed suicide minutes after phoning his wife and expressing his need to hear her voice.
The police claim that on December 19, following a brief altercation between Dombivali resident Sudhakar Yadav and his 31-year-old wife Sanjana, she departed to be with her sister in Diva. The source stated that at ten a.m. the next day, Sanjana, who was on her way to her Kurla workplace in Mumbai, received a call from Sudhakar requesting to speak with her for two minutes.
Following the conversation, Sanjana reported to the police that she had seen a picture of Sudhakar on WhatsApp showing him preparing to hang himself. Sanjana asked her neighbor to see how her spouse was doing. When the neighbor knocked on the door, no one answered. The official stated that once he smashed it open, he saw Sudhar hanging from the ceiling.
According to the official, the Vishnu Nagar police in Dombivili have opened an accidental death case and are investigating the precise cause of the suicide.
