Here’s what CEO Linda Yaccarino has to say on Twitter’s rate limitations

Twitter clarified its decision to impose temporary rate limitations on its microblogging platform in a recent blog post. The firm said that the action was necessary to protect the platform from spam and bots as well as to safeguard the legitimacy of its user base.

In her tweet, Twitter CEO  Linda Yaccarino stated, “When you have a goal like Twitter, you must take bold action to maintain the platform strong. It is important and continuous work.”

Yaccarino’s tweet was her first in-person response to Elon Musk’s restrictions on data mining and system hacking.

Millions of users throughout the world, including those in India, criticized Musk’s remark as the micro-blogging network had a huge global outage that limited access for many users. Concerns about the possible harm to advertiser engagement were raised by this among marketing experts. The website underlined that, overall, very few users had been impacted.

The business stated in a blog post that “the restrictions currently only affect a small percentage of people using the platform, and we will provide an update when the work is complete.”

The business asserted that the restrictions have had “minimal” impact on advertising. We’re all passionately dedicated to making Twitter a better place for everyone, even if this effort will never be finished, it continued.

The parent company of Instagram, Meta Platforms, is preparing to debut Threads, a competing platform, on Thursday, July 6. The software, which is now up for pre-order on the Apple software Store, aims to provide a novel perspective on text-based interactions and directly competes with Twitter.

The site has also included a special tool that enables users to register for Threads in an effort to generate excitement and foster a sense of exclusivity.

Conclusion:

Twitter has imposed temporary rate limitations on its microblogging platform to protect it from spam and bots, as well as maintain its user base’s legitimacy.
