Herschelle Gibbs Slams Temba Bavuma, Calls Him ‘Unfit’ & ‘Overweight’ To Play

The cricket teams of India and South Africa are currently playing the first test match of the 2-match test series at SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium, Centurion and it won’t be wrong to say that the Indian team seems to be in trouble now. Batting first, India could manage only 245 runs in their first innings and in response, the Proteas are going pretty strong at 95/1.

However, amidst all this, a tweet from former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs is going viral in which he has taken a jibe at the SA skipper Temba Bavuma and the coach as well.

During the 20th over of the Indian innings, Temba Bavuma suffered a hamstring injury while fielding on a shot played by Virat Kohli and the Proteas skipper was taken to hospital for medical scans.

Herschelle Gibbs was not happy with whatever happened and he tweeted, “Ironic that the coach allows some players who are clearly unfit and overweight to play when he started off as Proteas trainer in 2009”

When a couple of online users accused Herschelle Gibbs of making this tweet because of hatred, he defended himself by saying that even the Indian team is fitter than them because Virat Kohli instilled fitness in the minds of players.

If Temba Bavuma is not able to play, then the Proteas will be batting with only 10 batters in the test match and if we talk about the current situation, we don’t think that Temba Bavuma’s absence will have any effect on the SA team.
