Hina Khan Cuts Hair Short for Wig During Breast Cancer Battle

Hina Khan has shared that she decided to cut her beautiful locks short before they began falling out during treatment for breast cancer, using their locks as part of a wig for this stage. Hina’s mom wept when the actor revealed this plan to cut short. She stated she planned on using their locks as an aid during this journey.

Hina Khan, an actor currently fighting stage 3 breast cancer, posted a new video to Instagram Thursday showing herself cutting her hair short and cutting it shorter than planned. Although emotional, Hina maintained a smile throughout the clip.
Hina cuts her hair very short The video began with Hina sitting before a mirror while her friend braided it.
Next to Hina was her mom seated on a bed; when she began crying she was consoled by Hina as they said something like, “Don’t cry mumma, it’s just hair. Baal hain, aap nahi cut karte ho (it’s hair don’t cut)? But when her mother kept crying Hina spoke up: if that didn’t stop crying she said that stopped crying before giving way and said something along these lines as “Bas. Aapki tabiyat kharab hojayegi (you will become sick).”

Hina says she has chosen to win: “To all the beautiful people out there who are fighting the same battle, I understand it can be tough; my hair has always been my crown – but what if your battle becomes so intense that it requires cutting it off altogether? To win you have to make hard decisions. And I choose victory,” Hina added.

Hina decided to cut her hair before it started falling off as part of a strategy for winning her battle with depression and anxiety. To avoid experiencing mental breakdown for weeks on end, she chose to let go of what had once been her crown; choosing instead to focus on finding strength in herself through courage, strength, love, courage strength and love herself instead of holding onto what once was an idolized crown of hair as her crown of courage strength and love instead. “Moreover I used my hair to fashion an attractive Wig for use during this phase; hair will grow back, eyebrows will return while scars will fade over time – while spirit must remain whole,” she added.

Hina asked for prayer from her fans: “My journey in self-acceptance reaches all corners of society; even if my story can make one day easier for someone, it has made its worth in sharing. May God ease our suffering and grant us strength for victory,” Hina concluded.
